Iran is seeking to increase petroleum engineering and technical services to neighboring countries, said the assistant manager of research affairs in Ministry of Oil of Iran Reza Ashouri, Trend reports citing ILNA.
The Ministry of Oil has assigned 10,000 billion rials (about $238 million) and more than €49 million worth of credit for research in universities that could provide commercial ideas regarding export of technical oil services to neighboring countries in the near future, Ashouri noted.
A total of 20,000 billion rials (about $476 million) was recently assigned for oil reservoir research to solve the country's problems in oil industry and export services to other countries.
Iran is expected to export technical and engineering services to Iraq, Syria, Venezuela and Lebanon.
