The Esfahan Thermal Power Plant in the Isfahan Province (central Iran) generated more than 1.58 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021), an official of Esfahan Power Generation Management Company Hossein Aminiyeh said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to the official, the thermal power plant has been operating for about 50 years and still producing maximum electricity.
Aminiyeh added that the Esfahan TPP supplies about two-thirds of Isfahan Province’s electricity need.
Reportedly, Iran's Esfahan Thermal Power Plant is located on an area of about 74 hectares. The power plant has 5 units and can generate a total of 835 megawatt-hours of electricity.
