BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug.8. The volume of gas exports via the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) to Türkiye stood at 3.2 billion cubic meters from January through July 2022, Trend reports via Azerbaijan’s energy ministry.

“Azerbaijan exported 12.9 billion cubic meters of gas, showing a 24 percent increase year-on-year. The exports to Türkiye, Georgia and Europe stood at 4.8 billion cubic meters, 1.6 billion cubic meters and 6.5 billion cubic meters, respectively,” says the ministry.

The country produced 27.3 billion cubic meters of gas, 13.3 percent or 3.2 billion cubic meters more as compared to the same period in 2021. Around 7.9 billion cubic meters was produced by Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli, while 14.8 billion cubic meters accounted for Shah Deniz. SOCAR produced 4.6 billion cubic meters of the entire production.

Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz have produced nearly 198 billion cubic meters and more than 172.3 billion cubic meters of gas, respectively since start until Aug.1, 2022. Around 119.5 billion cubic meters of gas produced by Shah Deniz during this period went to export.
