BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. Azerbaijan's population purchased motor gasoline and diesel fuel for a total of 408.7 million manat ($240.4 million) from January through February 2023, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, in the reporting period, revenues from gasoline and diesel fuel sales edged up by 7.7 percent against the same period in 2022.
Meanwhile, gasoline and diesel fuel sales gains accounted for 4.97 percent of the overall retail trade turnover volume in Azerbaijan.
From January through February 2023, the value of products sold in the retail network amounted to 8.2 billion manat or $4.8 billion (an increase of 2.8 percent), including food, beverages and tobacco products sold for 4.6 billion manat or $2.7 billion (an increase of 2.2 percent), and non-food products - by 3.6 billion manat or $2.1 billion (an increase of 3.5 percent).
In 2022, the population’s expenses for motor gasoline and diesel fuel totaled 2.8 billion manat ($1.6 billion).
