ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 18. Azerbaijan imported 551,680 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reports that the cost of importing crude oil from Turkmenistan in the first 7 months of this year surpassed $317.54 million, marking an 18.5-fold increase compared to the corresponding timeframe in 2022.
During the period from January through July of the previous year, Azerbaijan imported over 30,726 tons of oil from Turkmenistan, with a total value exceeding $17.11 million.
Overall, over the course of the preceding year, Azerbaijan imported more than 352,715 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan, amounting to a total worth exceeding $245.14 million.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan acquired a combined volume of over 1.22 million tons of crude oil, with a total cost amounting to $678.88 million in the first seven months of this year.
