BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. Azerbaijan exported about 19.9 million tons of crude oil and oil products worth over $12 billion from January through September 2023, Trend reports.
The data of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan shows that Malaysia joined the ranks of importers from January through September 2023. Thus, Azerbaijan exported 48,040 tons worth 34 million manat ($19.9 million) from January through September 2023.
The top-3 importers of Azerbaijani oil from January through September 2023 is Italy (7.9 million tons worth $4.9 billion), followed by Israel (1.9 million tons worth $1.2 billion) and India (1.2 million tons worth over $739 million).
Oil from Azerbaijan is transported to neighboring countries and world markets through three pipelines: Baku-Novorossiysk, Baku-Supsa and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC). At the moment, transportation through the Baku-Supsa pipeline is suspended.
In addition, oil is exported by rail to terminals in Batumi and Kulevi (Georgioila).
