Turkmenistan surpasses planned fuel production targets

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 4. Turkmenistan's oil refineries exceeded planned fuel production targets from January through February this year, Trend reports.

Batyr Amanov, Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan's Government, made this announcement during a Cabinet meeting. According to him, Turkmenistan's refineries produced 101.8 percent of gasoline and 100.4 percent of diesel fuel over the stipulated period.

Furthermore, Amanov stated that in the first two months of this year, the country's lubricating oil production target was exceeded by 9 percent.

The Deputy Chairman stated that natural gas exports increased by 0.5 percent between January and February of this year compared to the same time in 2022.

Meanwhile, with the aim of broadening the economy and enhancing its standing in the international energy market, Turkmenistan is concentrating on advancing its oil and gas industry.

This endeavor encompasses the modernization and enlargement of infrastructure, enticing foreign investment to augment the production and exportation of oil and gas, along with the vigorous advancement of novel technologies and production techniques.
