Barmek Azerbaycan, an operator of the energy supply networks of Baku and Sumgayit, is not interested in obtaining an operatorship over the energy distribution networks of Ali Bayramly and Ganja, which is currently managed by Bayva-Enerji, Huseyn Arabul, the President of the Barmek Azerbaycan, told Trend.

In November 2005 Bayva-Enerji sent an official letter to the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan to state its will to cancel the contract with the Azerbaijani government on the management over the energy distribution networks of Ali Bayramly and Ganja, which covers 46 districts.

According to Arabul, the management of the all energy distribution by one and the same company could to lead to monopoly in the end. “Two different companies are required for establishment of rivalry and increase of quality,” he noted.

Arabul said that Barmek Azerbaycan had more plans. "We are going to participate in the tenders on privatization of the energy supply networks in Turkey, where we will represent Barmek Azerbaycan," the President of the company underscored.
