Khachmaz substation is supplied via Yashma-Derbend power line purposed for power exchange between Azerbaijan and Russia. Its operation will enable raising the power system flexibility and improve power distribution in said region, as well as reduce transmission losses. In the outlook, this project may become an important link within construction of second power line Yashma-Derbend.
