Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva, S.Aliyev / The Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan, Natig Aliyev, said on 2 March that presently Azerbaijan has fully ensured its energy security.
" Azerbaijan will not accept unwarranted and unfair conditions such as Russia's proposals regarding gas delivery," he said.
Presently Azerbaijan receives nearly 13 mln cu.m of gas per day from the fields developed independently, 9 mln cu.m of associated gas from the fields of "Azeri"-"Chirag"-"Gunashli", 5.6 mln cu.m from "Shah Deniz" and 9 mln cu.m from the underground gas reservoirs.
Thus, Azerbaijan receives approximately 35 mln cu.m of gas per day, which has never been received, the Minister said, adding that it provides an opportunity to fully refuse the gas imports.
