Total volume of operations on corporate securities at Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 404.3 million manat ($237.8 million) over first two months of 2020, Trend reports referring to BSE’s reporting data.
“The number of transactions in corporate securities was 57.7 million manat ($33.9 million) during the same period of 2019. Thus, total volume of operations increased by seven percent year-on-year,” BSE said.
“The entirety of 466 transactions accounted for secondary market. Thus, 370 shares worth 6.4 million manat ($3.8 million) were sold at the secondary market, which is almost 53 time more than in January through February 2019. Another 96 bonds worth 398 million manat ($234.1 million) were also sold during the reporting period, which is 7 times more than during the same period of last year.
"Some 17 bonds of total volume of bonds sold accounted for mortgage bonds worth 392.2 million manat ($230.7 million), which is increase by 8.7 times year-on-year,” the exchange said.
“Repo transactions on corporate securities amounted to 241.2 million manat ($141.9 million), which is 3.8 times more compared to the same period of 2019. A total of 134 repo deals on corporate securities were carried out at the Baku Stock Exchange in 2019. This is 84 deals more compared to the previous year,” BSE said.
