Iran’s Qazvin Province attracts investors in industrial parks

Seventy-seven investors were attracted in the industrial parks of Qazvin Province of Iran during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Executive Director of the Industrial Parks Company in the province Hamidreza Khanpour said, Trend reports citing the company’s official website.

Khanpour emphasized that these investors will initially invest 16.1 trillion rials ($385 million).

He added that 69 hectares of land have been allocated to these investors in various industrial parks of the Qazvin Province.

The director noted that it is projected that 4,000 people will be employed with implementation of the investment projects.

“Last Iranian year [from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020], 103 investors were attracted to establish production facilities in the industrial parks of Qazvin Province,” he said.

According to Khanpour, 2.6 trillion rials (about $61.9 million) have been spent on infrastructure in the industrial parks of Qazvin Province since 2013, when the current government came to power in Iran.

There is one industrial town and 19 industrial parks in Qazvin Province of Iran, and about 1,000 production enterprises operating in the province's industrial parks.
