According to UZEX, the total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 426.5 billion soums ($40.4 million). As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 26.8 billion soums ($2.5 million).

At the same time, domestic demand for sugar continues to grow, which has led to a slight increase in its cost.

During the past week, 9,300 tons of sugar were put up for sale, of which the entire volume was sold - 100 percent.

During the period under review, the daily average price for sugar of all categories increased by 3.6 percent, from 7,253 soums ($0.69) to 7,517 soums ($0.71) per ton.

As a result of exchange trading, the weekly weighted average price for local sugar of the third category amounted to 7,583 soums ($0.72) per ton.

The exchange prices for cement remain stable despite the growth in demand. In particular, the number of buyers who took part in electronic trading on a daily basis increased by 2.4 percent compared to the previous week and during the period under review amounted to 714 participants.

During the past week, 161,026 tons of cement were put up for exchange trades, of which 140,970 tons, or 87.5 percent, were sold. The daily volume of cement sales averaged 46,900 tons.
