Gold, silver prices up in Azerbaijan

The prices of precious metals, except platinum, grew in Azerbaijan on May 31 compared to the previous price, Trend reports referring to the data published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The price of gold increased by 16.2435 manat or $9.55 (0.5 percent) and made up 3,243.3195 manat or $1,907.83 per ounce.

The price of silver rose by 0.6501 manat or 38 cents (1.38 percent) and amounted to 47.6996 manat ($28.06).

The price of platinum went down by 4.0885 manat or $2.4 (0.2 percent) and equaled to 2,022.507 manat ($1,189.71).

The price of palladium rose by 130.917 manat or $77.01 (2.79 percent) and stood at 4,824.345 manat ($2,837.85).

In monthly terms, the price of gold grew by 237.7195 manat or $139.83 (7.9 percent) per ounce, silver rose by 3.6048 manat or $2.12 (8.2 percent) per ounce, platinum decreased by 26.588 manat or $15.64 per ounce (1.3 percent), while palladium edged down by 215.934 manat or $127.02 (4.3 percent).

On annual basis, the price of gold climbed by 301.8605 manat or $177.56 (10.3 percent), silver grew by 17.3282 manat or $10.19 (57.1 percent), platinum spiked by 597.958 manat or $351.74 (42 percent), and palladium surged by 1,527.382 manat or $898.46 (46.3 percent).
