Central Bank of Iran shares data on loans issued for trade sector

Iranian banks issued loans worth 1.85 quadrillion rials (about $44.1 billion) in the Iranian trade sector, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through September 22, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, the loans worth 72.9 trillion rials (about $1.73 billion) were issued in connection with the establishment of enterprises and other opportunities in the trade sector during the reporting period.

"Over 6 months, 959 trillion rials (about $22.8 billion) worth of loans were issued in the trade sector as working capital," the statistics said.

Furthermore, Iranian banks issued loans worth 3.74 trillion rials (about $89 million) for the repair of enterprises and 135 trillion rials (about $3.23 billion) for the development of enterprises in the trade sector, the statistics said.

At the same time, 676 trillion rials (about $16.1 billion) worth of loans was issued for the purchase of personal assets, and 3.92 trillion rials (about $93.3 million) for the purchase of housings, and 1.62 trillion rials (about $38.6 million) for other purposes in the trade sector.

As reported, the Iranian banks issued loans worth about 12.4 quadrillion rials (about $295 billion) in various economic sectors in the first six months of the current Iranian year. This figure stood at 4.55 quadrillion rials (about $108 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.
