BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Total foreign direct investment in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to $4.8 billion in 2021, which is 6.7 percent more than in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, the UK ranked first among the largest investors in Azerbaijan in 2021. British investments in Azerbaijan amounted to $1.5 billion, which is 5.6 percent less than in 2020.
This is followed by Turkey - $700.1 million (an increase of 21.1 percent compared to 2020) and the US - $507.3 million (an increase of 6.8 percent compared to 2020).
