BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 16. Cash flows received by Azerbaijan considerably increased in 2022, Trend reports via preliminary data of the Azerbaijani Central Bank's (CBA) monetary policy review.

According to the review, this figure reached $3.4 billion, up by three times on an annual basis.

Besides, last year, international enterprises and organizations continued investing in Azerbaijan's fixed capital. Meantime, an investment amount from external sources exceeded 3.6 billion manat ($2.1 billion), accounting for 19.4 percent of the total investment in the country's fixed capital.

The CBA report added that Türkiye, the UK, the US, Japan, Switzerland, Russia, France, India, Iran, and Norway were the major investors in the fixed capital of Azerbaijan in 2022.

Previously, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan said that in 2022, investments in the country’s fixed capital settled at 18.27 billion manat ($10.7 billion), which was 5.5 percent more than in 2021.
