Ranking of Azerbaijani banks in terms of total liabilities

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30. According to Trend’s ranking, the share of the total liabilities of three banks (the International Bank of Azerbaijan, PASHA Bank and Kapital Bank) accounts for more than half of the total liabilities of the entire banking sector.

The total amount of liabilities of the first three banks amounted to 24.6 billion manat ($14.4 billion), or 73.97 percent of the total total liabilities of 10 banks of Azerbaijan (33.3 billion manat or $19.5 billion), or 63.21 percent of the total volume of all banks of Azerbaijan (38.9 billion manat or $22.8 billion).

Overall, the total volume of the total liabilities of the first 10 banks was 85.45 percent of the total liabilities of all banks in Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan’s Central Bank, the net profit of the banking sector as of March 31, 2023 increased by 94 million manat ($55.2 million), or 54.05 percent compared to the same period in 2022 - from 173.9 million ($102.2 million) to 267.9 million manat ($157.5 million).
