World Bank discloses Turkmenistan's total loan portfolio

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 4. The total amount of the World Bank (WB) loan for Turkmenistan exceeds $109.5 million, Trend reports.

According to the World Bank's records, it appears that, in general, the bank has already allocated almost $57.9 million to Turkmenistan.

Moreover, it's worth noting that the country also has a debt to the bank in the amount of $20 million.

The data indicates that the largest recipients of World Bank loans are India ($79 billion), Indonesia ($67 billion), and Brazil ($65 billion).

Meanwhile, cooperation between the WB and Turkmenistan continues to develop, covering a wide range of areas, including economic development, health, and education sectors, as well as infrastructure projects.

Within the framework of this partnership, the WB supports Turkmenistan in implementing its strategic goals, contributing to sustainable economic growth, and improving the standard of living of the population, especially in rural and remote areas.

The Bank also actively supports Turkmenistan's efforts in the field of digitalization and the development of the digital economy, contributing to improving the country's competitiveness on the world stage.
