The sole supplier of Internet access to Azerbaijani providers Delta Telecom reduced tariffs on Feb. 1.
"The cost per one megabit international channel is now 275 manat without VAT," the company said.
Delta Telecom aims to reduce tariffs for providers up to 100 manat for an one megabit channel by the end of the year, company head Ramazan Valiyev said earlier. Valiyev said the company plans to further reduce tariffs mid-year.
Delta Telecom last reduced tariffs in 2007. Delta Telecom is a leading Internet operator in Azerbaijan. The company has a large IP Backbone network used by Internet providers throughout Azerbaijan and Georgia.
