The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry presented a project of the collective decision of the ministry for the unification of rates on the inter-carrier connections to GSM and CDMA mobile operators, the head of the regulation department of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry Aliyar Tamirov said.
The document indicates the possibility of applying a single connection rate for the CDMA operators. The main purpose is to create equal conditions for development.
He said that at present, the connection rate (the cost of the last minute of the conversation) between the GSM mobile operators is 0,02 manat.
The connection rate determines the amount that one operator pays to another for a minute of the subscriber's conversation outside its network.
"Today, a single connection tariff is used in the GSM networks," he said. "The operators are already working in this regard. After all the issues are resolved, they will be reflected in the contracts between operators."
