All mobile operators in Azerbaijan should pay a special attention to the development of telecommunications and mobile communication markets in three directions.
CEO of Azerfon LLC Mr. Gunnar Pahnke made the remarks while adressing a press conference organized by Azerfon (Nar brand) within the framework of Bakutel-2017 on Dec.6.
He said the first thing to develop is loyalty programs. Subscribers are accustomed to using prepaid offers of operators, whereas this market should gradually give way to the postpaid segment.
"The second very important issue is the development of the mobile device market, but this growth will not happen until the market is more inclined to the prepaid offers of operators.Therefore, we should now think about how to offer mobile devices to the market.In parallel with the offer of mobile technologies and innovations, we should work to increase the share of the smartphone market.Today, the level of penetration of smartphones in the market of mobile devices in Azerbaijan compared with that of other countries is still insignificant, "Pahnke said.
The third important point, the head of the company believes, is that all three mobile operators present in the country's market should pay special attention to the development of fixed Internet services, as this area is not sufficiently developed.
"In terms of tariffs for the services offered, I would say subscribers are offered paradise prices, figuratively speaking. If to compare the prices and services offered in the country's market, then I would say that the mobile communications market in Azerbaijan is highly developed, the prices offered on the market today are very acceptable, "Pahnke said.
