Azintelecom LLC has received the status of Microsoft's partner under the cloud solutions provider program (CSP), a source in the country's IT market told Trend.

The acquisition of CSP status by Azintelecom company is stipulated in the Memorandum of understanding signed in December last year with Microsoft Azerbaijan company.

The CSP status provides an opportunity to purchase licenses for Exchange, SharePoint server products from Microsoft and then resell them to commercial structures.

The Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program (CSP) enables partners to directly manage their entire Microsoft cloud customer lifecycle. Partners can easily package their own tools, products and services, and combine them into one monthly or annual customer bill.

"The CSP status will also allow Azintelecom company to deploy SaaS (Software as a Service) service, but for this purpose it is necessary to form a team of specialists. This model is still an innovation, and the sales of such solutions as Office 365 and Azure are carried out yet," the source said.

The SaaS service is a model of using business applications in the format of Internet services. The SaaS applications run on the service provider's server, and users lease them through an Internet browser. The advantages of SaaS are the low cost of software ownership, mobility, low requirements for PC resources, etc.

As previously reported, Azintelecom's long-term plans also include the launch of the PaaS (Platform as a service) cloud service, which is mainly used for developing web applications.

Currently, the Azintelecom company offers IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) service, which allows the consumer to manage processing and storage media, as well as computing resources, on which operating systems and applications can be installed for his own purposes.
