Azerbaijan's proactive e-gov services help increase state websites' audience

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28

By Sadraddin Aghjayev - Trend:

Proactive services of Azerbaijan’s E-Gov Development Center increase the audience of state websites (e-gov), Director of the center Fariz Jafarov told Trend.

He said the services include: for state, for business, various structures and the population.

According to Jafarov, 1.3 million users are registered on the 'e-gov' portal, over 525,000 - on the 'mygov' portal, and it provides over 700 services.

"The reactive services of the center are services that are provided to citizens upon their request, and proactive - when the state warns citizens what service they first need to receive, which allows us to expand the audience of our state portals," Jafarov said.

The expert also noted that close to 2 million users are currently registered in Azerbaijan's single authorization system, ASAN Login.

"The ASAN Login system was commissioned in 2019 and has a huge audience that is growing rapidly," said the director of the center.

Jafarov also pointed out the country's senior citizens, due to the lack of basic knowledge, bad internet connection or fear of cyber threats, consider it more acceptable to receive government services offline.

The expert added that the center recently developed a project for regional digital executive power, which means that the services of over 79 local executive bodies will be provided online.

"At the first stage of launching the portal, we continue to study the requirements of our citizens, the services they need, and in accordance with this we will develop the project," Jafarov added.

He also reminded that 15 ASAN centers function in the districts of Azerbaijan.
