International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Regional Office for the CIS is currently in consultation and coordination with Turkmenistan on the areas of cooperation, ITU told Trend.
Highest interest, according to the ITU, is expressed in the areas such as building cybersecurity capabilities; digital skills and capacity development, including for girls, and use of ITU Academy available courses for technical universities.
The Union added that Turkmenistan is also interested to explore available ITU resources on digital transformation and digital government that could support the implementation of the National Digital Economy program.
Turkmenistan ranks 144th in the Global Cybersecurity Index globally and 9th in the CIS Region, according to ITU.
