BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. The Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azercosmos) OJSC and the Swiss Signalhorn signed a cooperation agreement, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan told Trend.
In accordance with the agreement, Signalhorn will serve its African customers via C-band of the Azerspace-1 satellite.
Azercosmos and Signalhorn are to provide broadband satellite services, as well as services for humanitarian projects in Africa using the iDirect satellite communication system," the ministry said.
According to Chief Commercial Officer at Azercosmos Mark Guthrie, cooperation with Signalhorn will further strengthen the country's position in the African region. He noted that Azerbaijan's advanced, reliable, and flexible solutions would lead to the implementation of new projects.
"The agreement will strengthen bilateral cooperation between the sides, as well as increase the number of users of Azerspace-1 satellite services in Africa," Chief Commercial Officer at Signalhorn Nigel Gibson said.
