BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20. The import of smartphones to Azerbaijan amounted to 548,530 from January through June 2023, which is 4.9 times higher than the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the import of these products amounted to $142.9 million (an increase of 6.1 times).
The main imports of smartphones came from China – 381,940 smartphones (an increase of 5.7 times) in the amount of $98.2 million (an increase of 7.5 times).
The main suppliers also include Vietnam – 138,130 smartphones ($34.9 million), India – 28,030 ($9.6 million).
A total of 675,820 smartphones worth $152.9 million were imported to Azerbaijan in 2022.
