Western Union money transference was applied in the regions Barda, Dashkasan, Ganja, Goranboy, Khanlar, Mingachevir, Naftalan, Samukh, Shamkir, Tartar and Yevlakh, the Azerpocht State Enterprise told Trend.
Aghstafa, Shaki abd Tovuz will be transmitted to the system during the first half-year of 2006. The service is planned to be applied in the 50 regions of the country.
“17 branches of the enterprise are currently rendering services on Western Union system,” Azerpocht underlined.
In accordance with the agreement undersigned between Parabank and Azerpoct on application of the system, the first transference was carried out at post-offices 1 and 11 on 10 October.
Besides, Azerpocht has similar agreements with Travelex Group, which envisages application of the system first in the capital city, then in the regions.
