Olga Dergunova, the Microsoft President for Russia and the CIS paid a day-visit to Azerbaijan, Microsoft announced
As part of her visit, Dergunova met with the Azerbaijani Minister for Communications & Information Technologies, Ali Abbasov.
During the talks, views on the further development of information and communications in the country were discussed as well as Government's role in providing the necessary facilities for realizing such development. Both parties underlined the importance of more advanced applications of technology for the economic growth and welfare of certain citizens in the Country.
In this context they discussed the development of the E-Azerbaijan project and Microsoft's experience in establishing E-government in European countries.
Dergunova presented the latest developments by Microsoft for the education sector. She voiced the Company's readiness to participate in the project of social direction and provide the necessary specialized educational material on information for their further use into Azerbaijani schools.
