Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / From January to May 2007, Azerbaijan has provided communications services worth AZN 247.1mln, or up 18.1% as compared to 2006, the State Statistics Committee reported.
While 75.5% services were rendered to private companies, the general population received 76.7% of the benefits belonging to communication services.
Significant rise was observed in regions: the telecommunications services in the Absheron region rose 1.2%, Guba Khachmaz 19.1%, Shirvan 11.9%, Shaki-Zakatala 11.8%, Ganja-Gazakh 6.7%, Nakhchivan 29.3%, Lankaran 13.8%, and Aran 13.9%. The volume of telecommunications services rose by 24.6%.
