BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 8. As many as 171,960 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in August 2022, up by 122.98 percent compared to the same month of 2021 (77,119),Trend reports citing the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
A total of 1 million foreigners visited Azerbaijan from January through August 2022, which is two times more than in the same period of last year (442,592).
The top 10 countries by the number of foreigners visiting Azerbaijan in August 2022 included Russia (43,000), Türkiye (24,200), Saudi Arabia (22,800), Iran (14,400), Georgia (7,600), Pakistan (6,900), India (5,700), the UAE (4,700), Kuwait (4,400) and Oman (4,000).
