The cargoes worth $7.6 billion were transported by vehicles in Azerbaijan in 2019, which is 9.2 percent more compared to 2018, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee’s report.
The cargo transportation by vehicles in the country reached almost 3.8 million tons in 2019, which is 9.9 percent more compared to 2018.
Almost 1.4 million tons of cargo (an increase of 19.6 percent) worth $1.2 billion (an increase of 15.1 percent) were exported via vehicles.
Almost 2.4 million tons of cargo (an increase of 4.2 percent) worth $6.4 billion (an increase of 7.8 percent) were imported during the reporting period.
In general, during the reporting period, Azerbaijan's total trade turnover amounted to $33.3 billion. The country's exports reached $19.6 billion, while imports amounted to almost $13.7 billion.
