The volume of goods transported through the Azerbaijani section of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) amounted to 29.8 million tons from January through September 2020, Trend reports citing the reports of the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the report, in the first nine months of 2020, the cargo turnover in the country made up 6.9 billion ton-kilometers, which is 15.8 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
At the same time, 16.6 million tons or 55.7 percent of all cargo was transported by road. About 9.5 million tons or 31.9 percent of all cargo was transported by rail, and 3.71 million tons or 12.4 percent - by sea, the report said.
The report added that about 6.09 million tons or 20.4 percent of all cargo were transit cargo.
