Volume of goods shipped via Turkish Bandirma port in 7M2021 revealed

More than 3.06 million tons of goods were transshipped through the Turkish port of Bandirma from January through July 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

During the reporting period, ships flying the Turkish flag transported 214,585 tons of cargo through the mentioned port, and ships flying the flags of other countries – over 2.84 million tons, said the ministry.

According to the ministry, in the first 7 months of this year, no cargo was transported in transit through Bandirma port.

Over 219.5 million tons of goods have been transshipped through the Turkish ports from January through July 2021, 17.5 million tons of cargo were handled by ships flying the Turkish flag, and more than 201.9 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

More than 43.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in the first seven months of this year.

Furthermore, nearly 31.3 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in July 2021.

In the same month, around 2.2 million tons of cargo were transported to the domestic ports via ships flying the Turkish flag while via ships flying the flags of other countries – 29.1 million tons.

Meanwhile, over 6.6 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports.
