A total of 47,522 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through August 2021, which is 27.7 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in August alone amounted to 6,848 cars, which also is 34.7 percent more than in August 2020.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 6,133 vehicles (833 in August), of specialized vehicles at 131 (12 in August).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in August 2021 amounted to 58, which is 51.3 percent less than in August 2020. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 434 vehicles, which is 73.2 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 60,838 during eight months and 9,063 in August 2021, which is 10.4 percent and 60 percent more respectively than during the same period of 2020.
A total of 24 diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over eight months of 2020, and four in August alone.
