The number of flights from Bushehr International Airport in the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 29 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, as was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), Trend reports.
According to the statistics, in total, 2,779 flights (passenger planes only) were carried out from the Bushehr International Airport in 8 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 2,156.
In general, 220,439 passengers were transported through Bushehr Airport within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 17 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 188,925 passengers had been transported via the airport in the same period last Iranian year.
During 8 months, 1,964 tons of cargo were transported via the airport. Cargo transportation increased by 25 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. The figure amounted to 1,567 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
