Turkish port of Botas unveils volume of received cargo

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. Turkish port of Botas handled 3.3 million tons of cargo from January through March 2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to ministry, 21,590 tons of cargo were transshipped through the Botas port by ships flying the flag of Turkey and 3.3 million tons by ships flying the flags of other countries.

"Turkish port of Botas handled 11.4 million tons of transit cargo in 1Q2022," ministry said.

The ports of Turkey handled 24.1 million tons of cargo in March 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships flying the Turkish flag through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during this period.

Turkish ports handled 6.6 million tons of transit cargo in March 2022.

Turkish ports handled 98.6 million tons of cargo from January through March 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 6.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 91.6 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 20.5 million tons of transit cargo in1Q2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 29.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 356.3 million tons in 2021.

Turkish ports handled 78 million tons of transit cargo last year.
