Volume of cargo loaded/unloaded at Iran’s Chabahar Port down

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran), increased by 74.6 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 116,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 7th month. Of this, 606 tons were loaded and about 115,000 tons were unloaded.

Some 80,900 tons of cargo were imported through the Chabahar port over the reporting month.

At the same time, 34,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for cabotage, as well as 606 tons were loaded for other purposes during the 7th month.

In overall, 69,200 tons of essential products and 1,390 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 269 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 19 tons of small and assorted products, 10,600 tons of container products and 34,000 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
