BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 27. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) decreased by 16 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, over 370,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, about 197,000 tons were loaded and over 173,000 tons were unloaded.
During the 8th month, about 191,000 tons of cargo were exported and about 56,500 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.
In addition, 29 tons of cargo were loaded and 80 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.
At the same time, 3,670 tons of cargo were loaded and about 116,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 8th month.
Furthermore, 2,710 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,010 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
Some 8,660 tons of essential products, 455 tons of metal products, 150,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 2,440 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 8th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 556 tons of chemicals, 2,620 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 1 tons of small and assorted goods, about 49,200 tons of container products, and about 156,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.
In general, approximately 12.7 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 8th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.92 million tons were loaded and 5.76 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 3.7 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
