BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 12. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 44.8 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

More than 440,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at this port over the reporting month. Of this, about 275,000 tons were loaded and 166,000 tons were unloaded.

Within the 11th month, 272,000 tons of cargo were exported and approximately 44,600 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

At the same time, 29 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for transit, as well as about 121,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 11th month.

In addition, 2,550 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

Some 4,510 tons of essential products, 25 tons of metal products, 239,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 4,910 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 11th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 13 tons of chemicals, 2,520 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 1,860 tons of small and assorted goods, 35,600 tons of container products, and about 152,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In total, approximately 12.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.9 million tons were loaded and 5.88 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.37 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
