BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 12. Kazakhstan’s Atyrau oil refinery restarted the catalytic cracking unit and resumed normal operations, Trend reports, citing the press service of the refinery.
According to the statement, the catalytic cracking unit was launched again after the production was picked up from the storage area.
Currently, the refinery supplies around 17,000 tons of RON-92, 1,200 tons of RON-95 fuel, and around 20,000 tons of diesel fuel in store.
The statement adds that the pickup of the refined products is being carried out according to schedule.
The plant was forced to shut down the catalytic cracking unit on 10 January due to the late pickup of the goods by the customers. Consequently, insufficient storage space prevented the plant from resuming operation and the refinery had to dramatically decrease production.
