BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. Azerbaijan is ready to help Kazakhstan with the logistics of grain to the Middle East, Director of the Consult Shipping company Hasan Mammadov said at the Transport Logistics of the Caspian Region Forum, Trend reports via the Kazakh media.
"We understand that the North-South transport corridor will one day be used in Kazakhstan to send grain to the Middle East. By this time, we need to gain a foothold in this market, so that Kazakhs do not build their own logistics, but use ours instead, through Baku, for example," he said.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's exports to Kazakhstan significantly increased from January through March 2023, reaching over $29 million, which is 2.7 times higher than in the same period of the previous year ($10.4 million).
Furthermore, Kazakhstan is listed in the top 5 countries, that import Azerbaijani non-oil products. Consequently, Azerbaijan's exports of non-oil products to Kazakhstan totaled $27.5 million in the reporting period.
