ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 26. The volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia amounted to $1.72 billion in January 2024, Trend reports.
Data from the country's Bureau of National Statistics shows that the volume of trade turnover decreased by 16.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($2.05 billion).
At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Russia for the above period amounted to $629.4 million, which is 30.5 percent less than January 2023 ($906.5 million).
In addition, imports from Russia in January 2024 decreased by 4.7 percent and amounted to $1.09 billion. In January 2023, imports amounted to $1.14 billion.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan’s trade turnover with Russia in 2023 amounted to $25.9 billion.
Exports to Russia were $9.7 billion, while imports from Russia - $16.2 billion.
