Spheres of natural monopolies to be reduced in Kazakhstan - president

( Kazakhstan Today ) - It is necessary to reduce spheres of natural monopolies in Kazakhstan, the President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev said today in Parliament during the presentation of the annual Message to the people of the Republic, the agency reports.

"It is important to reduce spheres of natural monopolies due to re-structuring of the largest monopolists and development of competitive relations," the Kazakh leader said. "In the sectors where they will be kept, work on tariff, technical regulation by means of branch regulators is to be undertaken," the President noted.

"We are to step on to a new level of stability and competitiveness of our financial system," N. Nazarbayev emphasized.
