Police in the Kyrgyzstan capital announced the arrest of one member of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir group for Issyk-Kul region. The activist was identified as a Kyrgyz citizen, the press-service of the State Security Service reported.
The member of the banned group was arrested during the investigative work. The police have withdrawn a data carrier with extremist content. Reportedly, he also resisted the officers, news agency "24.kg" reported.
The arrested man was fleeing from prosecution in Bishkek. He was accused of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir group and incriminated with "Organization, and encroach upon human rights" Article 259 and 299 "Incitement of national, racial and interregional enmity".
