The Kyrgyz Prosecutor General's Office has filed a criminal case against the Jogorku Kenesh members from the Ata-Jurt faction Kamchybek Tashiev, Talant Mamytov and Sadyr Japarov, the Prosecutor General's Office said today, AKI press reported.

The Kyrgyz Prosecutor General's Office has filed a criminal case against the Jogorku Kenesh members from the Ata-Jurt faction Kamchybek Tashiev, Talant Mamytov and Sadyr Japarov, the Prosecutor General's Office said today, AKI press reported.

A criminal case was filed in accordance with Articles 297 (public incitement to violent overthrow a constitutional order) and 28-295 (seizure of power) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

MPs Sadyr Japarov, Kamchybek Tashiev, Talant Mamytov and others organised a rally for nationalisation of Kumtor at about 11:00am on Ala-Too Square in Bishkek on October 3, 2012.

During the rally Kamchybek Tashiev publicly urged the people to make a violent grab for power. Then MPs and others attempted to seize power by invading the Parliament building, which is a protected building. As a result MPs were detained on October 4, 2012.

The General Prosecutor's Office has established an interdepartmental investigation group. Currently, all necessary investigative activities are underway.
