The opening of a gambling zone on the Issyk Kul is economically expedient, prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jantoro Satybaldyev said, KyrTAG agency reported.
"My position is clear. This is economically feasible," he said at the opening of the tourist season in Cholpon-Ata on Sunday.
According to him, opening casino will attract tourists.
"Along with creating conditions and service, we should create a new tourism product in Issyk-Kul, besides clean water, clear sky and beautiful mountains. The season promises to be successful. For example, more than 1,500 major contracts were made between the Russian and Kyrgyz tour operators in April," Satybaldiyev concluded..
