Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held phone talk with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjártó and discussed a number of issues, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday, Trend reports with reference to Kabar.
During the talks, the ministers discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they noted the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.
Kazakbayev invited Szijjártó to visit Kyrgyzstan and hold the 2nd meeting of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Strategic Council.
"In addition, special attention was paid to the need to promptly launch a direct Budapest-Bishkek-Budapest flight by the Hungarian airline WizzAir. This flight will be the first direct flight from the Kyrgyz Republic to the capital of the European Union member state,” the report said.
Ruslan Kazakbaev and Peter Szijjártó discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the Visegrad Group, in particular the Hungarian side's initiative to hold a summit of the OTS-Visegrad Group heads of state in Budapest this year.
