BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and France amounted to $60.4 million in 2022, increasing by almost 63 percent, compared to the same period in 2021 ($37 million), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
In the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan’s imports from France accounted for $59.6 million, increasing by 1.6 times compared to the preceding year ($36 million)
Meanwhile, the exports from Kyrgyzstan reached $810,000 in 2022, which is an increase of 2.5 times from 2021 ($321,300).
Kyrgyzstan mainly imports from France pharmaceutical products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, perfumes, acrylic polymers, and engines. Among Kyrgyzstan’s exports to France are honey, processed vegetables, textiles, radar and radio navigation equipment, building structures, and footwear.
In general, the value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and European countries reached $665.9 million last year, which is a slight decrease from $673 million in 2021.
The value of export from Kyrgyzstan to Europe amounted to $88 million in 2022- a significant drop from $349.6 million in 2021.
Meanwhile, the value of the country’s imports from Europe in the reporting period amounted to $577.5 million, which is an increase of 78 percent over 2021 ($323.5 million).
