BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 31. Kyrgyzstan's imports of gasoline decreased in January 2023 by 51 percent year-on-year, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan imported 38 million liters of gasoline in the corresponding period. In comparison, the import in January 2022 was 79 million liters of gasoline.
The value of the imports amounted to $13 million in January 2023, decreasing by 63 percent year-on-year ($35 million in January 2022).
In the corresponding period, Kyrgyzstan mainly imported gasoline from Russia and Kazakhstan.
The imports from Russia amounted to 35 million liters of gasoline, decreasing by 56 percent year-on-year (79 million liters in January 2022).
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported 3 million liters of gasoline from Kazakhstan in the first month of 2023, which is an increase of almost 15 times over 225,600 liters in January 2022.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover amounted to $834.7 million in January 2023, which is an increase of nearly 20 percent year-on-year ($692.5 million in January 2022).
The exports from Kyrgyzstan totaled $125.5 million, which 11 percent more than $111 million in January 2022. The imports to Kyrgyzstan reached $709 million, which is an increase of 22 percent compared to $581 million in January 2022.
